Regular Tournament Information:
[su_tab title=”Magic REL Information”]
[su_spoiler title=”Friday Night Magic”]
Standard will begin at 6:35, entry is $6, standard FNM is the only event that store credit can be used for entry. Payout will be a pack per match win, and promos will be distributed as well.
Modern begins at 6:30, and entry is $10 plus tax. Payout is generally to the Top 4 (with 10 or more participants) or the Top 2 with 9 or fewer paid entries.
Once a month, on the last Friday of the month, we offer Legacy as an FNM option. The entry fee and prize structure are identical to Modern: $10 entry fee, with all collected money paid out as store credit to the top finishers.
[su_spoiler title=”Pre-Release”]Geek City hosts 4 pre-release events for each set that Magic releases. At midnight after FNM of pre-release we will host a standard sealed event. We will also host a standard sealed event on Saturday at noon, a Two-headed giant event at 6:00pm on Saturday, and an additional Two-headed giant event at noon on Sunday!
Entry into each event is $30, this is because Geek City is the area’s only store that provides some very nice bonuses to our pre-release.
- Custom Tokens
- Custom Playmats or other premium custom items of equal value
- Food at all events
- Coffee at Midnight events
- And the opportunity to be made into a custom token for the next set![/su_spoiler]
[su_spoiler title=”Competitive Events”]Geek City currently runs Grand Prix Trials and Preliminary Pro-Tour Qualifiers as our premier competitive events. We have considered SCG or TCG IQs in the future, and if we have customers interested it is something that we may add.[/su_spoiler]
